4-Years Diploma-in-Engineering courses

The course are of 4-years duration divided into eight semesters. Including "Industrial Arrachment Trainnig" of one semester (six month) duration in dirrerent industrial organigation. Successful completion of the courses including "Industrial Attachment Training" as per BTEB-regulations entitles a student to the award of Diploma-in-Engineering courses operate in two shifts. The first shift operates from 8 am to 1:50 pm, while the 2nd shift from 1:00pm to 6:50 pm.

The Institute intake capacity is 768 in each shift.Technologywise breakdown of intake is as below

The prerequisite for admission in first year first semester class is Secondary School Certidicate (SSC) or its equivalent with at least GPA-3 marks in average and a minimum of GP-2 in mathematics. Both male and female candidates are eligainle for admission.

Short Courses

In addition to Diploma in Engineering course, the Institute is now conducting BTEB affiliated Basic Trade Course in Television & Radio servicing, Mobile servicing, Computer operator, House wiring, Electrician, Welding, Building & Architectural Drafting with Auto-CAD, Food processing & Preservation, Refrigeration & Air conditioning, Auto mechanics, Amin Ship, Building maintenance, Plumbing and Pipe fitting, Furniture and Cabinet Making. The Institute has also provision for basic trade courses in Advance Electrical repair and Maintenance, General Mechanics, Turner etc.

Collaborative programmes

The Institute provides collaborative services to other Institute in conducting their academic courses both in theory and practical. At present practical classes of Civil, Electrical & Electronics and Computer Technologies of Dip-in Engg. Programme of Ashnullah University of Sciences and Technology (AUST). Sometimes the Military courses are conducted in the Institute.
